GREK 101 Tuesdays, August 23rd - September 27th, 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm
GREK 201 Tuesdays, August 23rd - September 27th, 5:30 pm - 6:30 pm

To plan for the rest of the Fall Semester:
GREK 102 Tuesdays, November 1st - December 6th, 7:00 pm - 8:30pm
GREK 202 Tuesdays, November 1st - December 6th, 5:30 pm - 6:30 pm
(No classes during the week of Thanksgiving)

You must register for either GREK 101 or GREK 201 to attend. Please submit your registration using the form below, check the box beside the class you want to attend.

DESCRIPTION: An introduction to the forms, words, and grammar of Koine/New Testament Greek.  

This is one of four classes offered over the year:  

  • GREK 101 Greek that sizzles (summer) 

  • GREK 102 Greek that’s cool (fall)

  • GREK 103 Greek that keeps you warm at night (winter)

  • GREK 104 Greek that springs into action (spring)

     

    TEXTBOOKS:

    Beginning with New Testament Greek: An Introductory Study of the Grammar and Syntax of the New Testament by Benjamin Merkle and Robert Plummer (new, $32 on Amazon).

Steve Jones, Teaching Pastor at Kingsland Baptist Church

A classicist by training, Dr. Jones has been teaching Greek and Latin for 25 years  at Houston Baptist University, Rice University, Baylor University, and Bryn Mawr College.

You will have to memorize paradigms and vocabulary

There will be work to do on-line/on your phone

If you want to keep up with Mark Lanier, you are going to need to do all four classes and commit yourself to learning Greek for a year.  You may want to do MORE!
