Anne Clements, Mothers on the Margin?

Anne Clements, PhD Spurgeon College (2012), has written an interesting book called Mothers on the Margin?  The Significance of the Women in Matthew’s Genealogy (Pickwick Publications, 2014).  At one time she was struggling with her call to ministry: some endorsed her call, others said she was violating Scripture.  This launched on her an investigation of the women in the annotations of Matthew’s Genealogy: Tamar, Rahab, Ruth, the wife of Uriah (Bathsheba), and Mary, the mother of Jesus.  In this podcast she talks with me from her home in Kent, UK to show how Matthew introduces these women and recalls their stories to show how the Messiah comes to include the marginalized and to make insiders out of outsiders.
