Although often thought of as distinct events, the Gospel of John holds together the Incarnation and Passion of Christ dynamically. John Behr explores how they are connected in the Gospel, in such a way that by sharing in the Passion of Christ we, too, continue the Incarnation and bring to completion the project of God announced in Scripture, to make a human being in His image and likeness.
