Steven Runge has had an interesting career. He earned his PhD at the University of Stellenbosch and is considered widely an expert in biblical studies, particularly discourse analysis. Recently, he started a website called everydayexegesis.com which aims to help people study the Bible more effectively for their everyday lives.
