Greek at the LTL

Learn to read the New Testament in its original language. Deepen your understanding of the New Testament by studying the Scriptures in Greek. Appreciate the poetry and nuances that sometimes get lost in translation or buried in the footnotes of your study bible.

Overview

Lanier Academic offers both introductory and intermediate classes in Greek. The introductory class focuses on the forms, words, and grammar of Koine Greek. The intermediate class explores more advanced topics and emphasizes reading Greek texts in a group setting. As you progress, you will also uncover the theological significance behind the texts.

Dr. Steven Jones is your Greek Instructor.  Steve is a pastor and professor with over 20 years of experience in churches and universities.  He currently serves as Teaching & Training Pastor at Kingsland Baptist Church in Katy, TX.  He has previously taught Greek at HCU, Rice, Baylor, Texas, and Trinity.
